Twisted Sista Natural Hair Products

Posted by

I was minding my own business, browsing in CVS trying to spend money I should be saving and there it was. The word SISTA called to me. I had to grab these products lol. I bought the Twisted Sista Curl Activator Creme and Intensive Leave-in Conditioner so here’s my review.

This brand promises that they do not include sulfates, pthalates and parabens. For both products I am talking about today, the key ingredients are Coconut, Avocado, and Almond Oils combined to fight-frizz and hydrate hair without weighing it down.

Twisted Sista Intensive Leave-In Conditioner:

On their site this product costs $8.99. Though this is a leave-in and is suggested to pair with another styling product, I decided to do a twistout with it and the results were amazing. My hair looked so shiny and defined. The product has good slip for detangling. I also love the smell. This product is not heavy on the strands as expected as it is a leave-in after all right.

Ingredients
Water (Aqua), Glycerin, Amodimethicone, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Persea gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polysorbate-60, Stearalkonium Chloride, Methyl Gluceth-10, Citric Acid, Fragrance (Parfum), Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.

My hair had great hold and when I separated my twists, it was so light and fluffy, it was blowing in the wind and looking fierce. I will say that the moisture from the product is enough to last for about 2 days. There is no need to reapply more when you re-twist your hair for the night. Just spritz water and tomorrow you will have bomb day two hair that feels soft and moisturized.

Twisted Sista Curl Activator Creme:

I had to wash and go, i had to. I know I promised an up-do style on our Instagram and that’s coming, but the day was calling for a wash an go. Being outside by the pool in this Alabama humidity leaves you with two choices, fro it up or wash and go.

This is a rich creme and I love it. I was expecting my hair to be a fluffy defined fro at the end of the day but to my pleasant surprise, My hair did not budge. My coils sprung into shrinkage 100%! It is very moisturizing and it being a creme made me doubt the frizz prevention claims but I’m living proof y’all. If you are used to gels like me for wash and go’s, you will be tempted to keep applying more product to get your strands to clump together but just remember that this is a creme and it will be different. Your hair will get defined but the clumping does not resemble that of a gel. In the clip below I’m showing how i applied a bit too much trying to get that clumping effect. Don’t be like me lol

My curls were so defined they turned into coils by the time my hair dried and i loved it. It was a very shrunken wash and go and being that it was so hot and I’m team fro this year, I loved it!.

This claims that my hair will be defined and soft for 24 ours and I believe it. Watch my video below to see it in action!

I had no crunchy feeling on my hair, my hair was soft and well into day 3, all i did each morning was use my fingers to pull and stretch my hair as it was tied all night. It still felt soft on day 3 but i was itching to style again so i washed it out. I am really feeling this creme styler. With gels I totally have to force myself to make it to day 3 by spritzing water and adding more product just to make it behave.
